Exterior Window Washing in Green Island
We wash the outside glass, frames and screens on your home so the view is clear and the house looks cared for. You get a set arrival window, a realistic idea of how long we'll be there, and a heads-up if weather shifts the plan.

Clear glass, on a schedule you can count on
Outdoor window glass collects more than most people notice. Spring pollen, winter road grime, hard-water spots from sprinklers and the film bugs leave behind all build up. Rinsing with a hose usually just moves that around and dries into streaks.
Our window washing covers exterior glass, frames, sills and screens, done by hand with purified water and the right tools. Purified water matters because it leaves no minerals behind as it dries, so you don't trade dirt for spots.
Before we come, we tell you the arrival window and roughly how many hours the job takes, so you can plan your day. If rain or wind pushes things back, we call you as soon as we know, not after you've been waiting.
What our window washing includes
Hand-washed exterior glass
Each pane gets scrubbed, then squeegeed or rinsed with purified water so it dries without spots.
Frames and sills wiped down
Dirt and dead bugs collect in frame corners and on sills. We clean them so the first rain doesn't wash that grime back onto clean glass.
Screens brushed and rinsed
We lift each screen out, brush off the dust and pollen, rinse it and let it dry before refitting it. If one is ripped or its frame has bowed, we'll mention it and leave the decision about replacing it to you.
Upper-story and hard-to-reach windows
Second-floor and dormer windows are often the dirtiest because no one can reach them. We bring the ladders and extension poles to handle them safely.
Hard-water and film check
Some spots won't come off with a regular wash. We'll show you which panes have mineral staining and explain what's realistic before trying anything stronger.
A walk-around at the end
Before we leave, we look over the windows with you, or send photos if you're not home.
Signs your windows are due for a wash
Haze when the sun hits
If the glass looks cloudy in late afternoon light, there's a film on it that rain alone won't remove.
Pollen coating glass and sills
That yellow-green dust settles in each spring and gets harder to clear the longer it sits.
White spots near sprinklers or downspouts
Mineral deposits from hard water slowly etch into glass. Catching them early keeps them from becoming permanent.
Cobwebs and bugs in the corners
Webs and insect debris along frames show up first on windows near porch lights and outdoor fixtures.
Guests or a listing coming up
Clean windows are one of the quickest ways to lift curb appeal before a party, the holidays or listing photos.
How a window washing visit runs
- 1
Free quote by phone
Tell us how many windows, how many stories and whether you want screens done. We'll give you a free quote and an honest sense of how long the job will take.
- 2
A booked arrival window
We set a date and a specific arrival window, then confirm the day before. If the forecast turns, we call to reschedule rather than leaving you guessing.
- 3
Prep and protection
We lay drop cloths where water might drip on plantings or patio furniture and move light items away from the windows. Screens come off and get labeled so each one goes back where it came from.
- 4
Washing, top floor first
Glass, frames and sills get done window by window, starting upstairs so drips never land on glass we've already finished.
- 5
Final check and cleanup
We put the screens back, gather our cloths and walk the house with you. Nothing of ours is left in the yard.
What sets your window washing price
No two houses are alike, so we price yours once you've told us about it. The total depends on how much glass you have, how easy it is to get to and how dirty it is. You hear the price before booking, and nothing gets added on the day.
- How many windows, and what kind
- A one-story ranch with twelve or so standard windows goes faster than a two-story home with bay and picture windows. Divided-light windows add time, since each small pane gets its own wash.
- Reach and height
- First-floor glass is quick. Second stories, dormers and windows tucked behind bushes or above a sloping yard take longer to set up for.
- Add-ons like screens
- Screens, tracks and storm windows each take extra time, so they're priced as separate lines and you pick the ones you want.
- How dirty the glass is
- Windows that get washed often clean up quickly. Years of grime, paint overspray or hard-water marks need more effort.
Common questions about window washing
Something not covered here? (518) 749-3307
How many hours will you be at my house?
For most houses it's a matter of a few hours, based on how many windows and floors there are. You'll get a time estimate on the call, and if anything changes it once we're there, we'll let you know right away.
Does someone have to be home?
Not if we can get to every window from outside and the gate is open. Lots of customers head to work and return to clean glass. We call you when we pull in and once more when we wrap up.
What if the weather turns wet?
A short shower won't undo clean glass, so a light drizzle rarely holds us up. Steady rain, strong wind or below-freezing temperatures will. When the forecast looks poor, we phone ahead with the next available date.
How often do windows need washing?
For most houses, two visits a year work well: one in spring once pollen is done and one in fall ahead of the holidays. Houses beside busy roads or under large trees may need more.
Is your crew covered for ladder work at my home?
Yes. We're licensed and insured and have been in business 5 years. We set ladders on firm footing and use standoffs to keep them off gutters and glass.
Can window washing be done alongside a permanent lighting install?
Yes. If roofline lights are going up, we can wash the windows the same visit or right beforehand, so the whole house looks sharp when the lights first come on. Just bring it up when you call for a quote.
